Architectural concrete, a lecture by Salim Asseily and Frank Jaeger on Thursday 5th of May 2016.
Architectural concrete is a versatile material that has developed into one of the most important design means of modern architecture. It allows for almost any design shape and quality to be achieved and in an economical manner. Advancements in structural designs and building methods allow for the realization of impressive architectural concepts. The development of new concrete types such as high-strength, lightweight and self-compacting concrete as well as fiber-reinforced concrete has opened up new areas of application.
