This book presents the first architectural study of the homes, buildings and buildings of Henri Eddé, an architect who was also minister, pilot and writer. Several unpublished photos and detailed axonometrics accompany the achievements of this controversial architect. Henri Eddé experienced the golden age of architecture during the 1950s and 1960s in Lebanon. 215 pages, colour, 29.5 x 23 cm, paperback.
About the Author :
Joseph El-Hourany is an architect and urban planner. He is a PhD in studies and practices of the arts with a master's degree in philosophy as well as in sciences and urban trades. Since 1999, he has been working on several construction and urban development projects in Lebanon and abroad. He is a professor at the University of Balamand. His publications include "The Future Of The Past" with John Carswell in 2003, "Specimen Zero" in 2010 and "Specimen One" in 2011 with Samer Eid and "Guvder" with Laurice Jabbour in 2012 at "Les éditions de l' Alba".
