FIEST AT ALBA
INTERNATIONAL TRAINING IN WRITTEN TELEVISION SERIES
The next meeting with the members of the "FIEST" pedagogical committee will take place at our premises, from February 19 to 21, 2019, between 9 am and 6 pm to review the lessons and discuss the next steps of this training.
About the training:
With the rise, success, and critical legitimation of television series over the past twenty years, the writing of television series has become an activity recognized by the profession. However, the professional training in the writing of television series did not follow the exponential growth of this format both in the countries of the Mediterranean basin and in Northern Europe.
It is for this reason that a training devoted to the writing of TV series has been devised within the framework of a strategic, transnational and inter-sectoral partnership of the Erasmus + program.
A consortium of higher education institutions and organizations active in the audiovisual field of the Mediterranean Basin (6 countries concerned / 3 European and 3 Southern Neighborhood) has designed this pilot training for the writing of TV series ( FIEST) for the academic year 2018-2019.
The mission of this training is to train professionals able to initiate a significant advance in the field of writing television series, in the countries where the partner schools are located.
This partnership is composed of :
COPEAM (Permanent Conference of Mediterranean Audiovisual)
UNINETTUNO (Universita Telematica Internazionale) of Rome
ENSAV (National School of Audiovisual) of Toulouse
INSAS (Higher National Institute of Performing Arts and Diffusion Techniques) of Brussels
ESAV (Higher School of Visual Arts) of Marrakech
ALBA (Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts) of Beirut
ESAC (Higher School of Audiovisual and Cinema) of Tunis / Gammarth
France Televisions.
This pilot training is conceived as an innovative, transnational and intercultural training course in the writing of TV series.
It consists of hands-on face-to-face workshops, distance learning (e-learning) and individual work tools that will enable international initiatives and synergies to be put in place.
It aims at the end, the creation of TV series projects that will be presented to potential producers.
Candidates had to hold a Bachelor's degree or demonstrate at least 4 years of professional experience and demonstrate a strong motivation to write serials.
The training is free.
