The author Atsushi Kaneko is giving his masterclass next Tuesday February 5th at 5:30 pm at our premises - autiorium 1
About the author:
Born in 1966 in Sakata, Atsushi Kaneko is a Japanese mangaka who describes himself as a free-style writer mostly inspired by music, cinema, punk and comic books than by the Manga mainstream codes.
To preserve the particularity of his technique, he works on his own, without any assistance, unlike the vast majority of mangakas.
He is the author of several manga books, including Soil, Bambi, Mushi and Wet Moon and has been nominated three times at the Angoulême Festival and has been awarded the Prix de l'Imaginaire and the Prix Asie ACBD.
From February 5th to 8th, he will lead a workshop with Alba's illustration and animation students. Atsushi Kaneko will explore the different aspects of manga development, from character design to inking and ideogram use, including panel layout and framing use.
